I bought a moby wrap when dd was born and used it a few times. it is comfortable, but a hastle to put on and off. it was easier to just put him on the floor or on a boppy (when really young). I would like to carry him on my back, but it's so hard with the moby...please help me like it!

honestly, the moby isn't usually recommended for back carries. i know the compnay includes it in their intructions, but it just doesn't work for most people. the fabric stretches too much with older babies and toddlers, which makes for an uncomfortable (for the wearer) and unsafe (for the baby) back carry.
stick to front carries with the moby if that's still comfortable for you, and maybe think about getting something else to use for back carries- a woven wrap if you like wrapping, or a mei tai or a soft structured carrier (both of these are usually thought of as "easier" then wraps, especially for back carries).

:I have a moby for the early months and I just keep it wrapped on when I go out. Very nice for popping baby in and out as needed.
As for back carries or carrying for longer periods of time I have an Ellaroo woven wrap that I bought used and love for that. Its much more secure and actually a lot cooler than the moby.
Many babywearing experts suggest skipping a stretchy wrap and getting yourself used to wrapping with a woven wrap from the get go because once you are well versed it takes no time or hassle to get baby on.
Soft structured carriers are nice for those who are wrap challenged or just prefer an all in one more compact set up
I gave away my mei tai because I just didnt reach for it.

Just wrap it once in the morning and keep it on until you are done carrying her for the day or until you won't be carrying her for an hour or more.
But, don't use it for a back carry. It's too stretchy and narrow to do a safe back carry with it.
If you'd like to do back carries, check out buckle carriers, mei tais and woven wraps. If you have a little baby, then go for mei tais or woven wraps, because you can do a high back carry with them.

It does take a little time getting used to taking a wrap on and off, but it does get easier! I thought I'd have to follow the directions forever, but you get used to it pretty quickly.
If you're just not feeling the love with a wrap, maybe you should try a ring sling. They are really great with newborns. They can take a little getting used to too, but they are a lot faster and less overwhelming for some people.
