Brilliant baby-wearing jacket

I came across these instructions for making a baby-wearing coat for a back carry...super easy and I wish I'd known before I bought an expensive (yet great) one last winter! So my PSA for all you sewers is this, and thank you to whoever wrote this up and posted. You rock.

I am out of the babywearing stage, but this is the COOLEST THING EVER. (well, coolest thing ever related to babywearing. )

I made my babywearing coat pretty much like that, but I just cut a slit for DS's head and lined both sides with matching fleece. I didn't even bother with the side gussets. The coat I bought was one size too big for me, and the extra fabric from it being too big, made him fit just fine with just an opening for his head. It took about 10 minutes total to make.

I made one exactly like it for a friend, and it worked perfectly for her as well, and he son was HUGE. It came in so handy all winter for our first two winters of babywearing! I am actually a little sad that we will not likely babywear this winter with your coat built for two.
