bf causing constipation in toddler?

Hi! I am tandem nursing a newborn and a 3.5 yo, and I was wondering if the breastmilk could be causing my toddler constipation. Does anyone know? Thanks!

It would usually cause the opposite problem.

I agree with pp and I can't think of any way it could cause constipation. Maybe if you were eating a food that was an allergen for the child?

agree with pp- not unless you are eating a food they are intolerant and/or allergic .

Much more likely to cause loose stools than constipation, especially as you are nursing a newborn. I'd look to other causes for the constipation.
