We were given two g-diaper covers and are considering trying them out. How many of the covers and plastic inner liners did you need for a newborn? I think those parts are not supposed to get dirty every time, but I'm assuming they will at least sometimes... Thanks!

We had 4 in the small size, that our DD quickly grew out of. We then had 6 medium, and now have 7 large. I know as a new newborn, when DD would soil the nylon liner we would just rinse it out with a little soap and water, and hang it on the shower rod to dry, because we didn't have a washer and dryer at the time, and that saved us from having to have to many extra nylon liners. If you do it this way you only really need the 2 per cover that the covers come with. But if it makes you feel more comfortable having extra, maybe 1 per cover.
We've been using g diapers since we had DD, so over 2 years now, and we love them!! We have a case of refills auto shipped to us every 3 weeks, so that really saves us time and money having to run across town to get refills.
