I have really enjoyed reading the responses here. My prayer life has been, shall we say...dry...lately. We do say prayers before meals (my 2.5 loves to scream AMEN! when we're done) and at night before bed, but the traditional written prayers don't really do it for me much lately. I usually just talk to God like He is a friend, or like He is sitting right next to me. I love the idea of a dedicated prayer space. What have others done to create a good space? I think I have a place where I could put a chair and a small table and maybe hang a few pictures.

I am Roman Catholic, and my favorite prayer times have definitely been in adoration or song. I sing constantly. I have opened up the Bible randomly, and if the verse reminds me of a song or I can make one up, I do. I just feel so especially connected when I pray in song.

I also say a prayer of thanks whenever I see something beautiful or feel particularly great about something. I used to meditate, usually on something I'm thankful for, or a time when I felt very close to God, but I just have not been able to center lately.

Thank you all for this thread. I'm going to make a stab at reviving my spirituality.
