seasonal flu shot and shedding?

I wasn't sure if I should post this year or with Life With a Babe, but I have a 4 1/2 month dd. This evening we went over to my mother's for supper and after about 2 1/2 hours my mother started complaining that her arm hurt. When I asked her why she stated that she had gotten the seasonal flu shot today. I was not sure if I should be concerned or not since first of all i am not sure if the vaccine sheds and secondly she was around dd for only 2-3 hours. Does anyone know the answer? Thanks!

No it does not shed. Dead virus is used in the shot. Now the Flu mist - sheds for a week I think ( that is the nasal spray version). The spray is a live virus.

From what I've read, the flu shot virus is not "live" and does not shed. Flu mist spreads.
