I was reading some other posts and thought to myself- why are live flu vaccines not recommended for pregnant women? I understand the dangers in the different trimesters for certain diseases like measles, chickenpox ect.. but what about the flu? Catching the flu while pregnant wouldn't be fun but it wouldn't harm the fetus right? Aren't pregnant women exposed to those who got the "live" vaccine everywhere they go? I know the immune system is "lower" when pregnant but is that the only reason they have or is the live strain?
