Honestly my favorite are simple baby terry cloth washcloths. There thin enough to eaily fit into any crevise soft enough to not irritate delicate skin but thick and scrubby enough to get the job done with out using 29 of them. I've found packages at dollar stores Walmart ect..

I got a sample from little lions that was just heavenly. But that's the only cloth wipe I'd ever touched, and I'm still pregnant so take it with a grain of salt.

I use baby washcloths too. We find good deals and stock up. I think we've paid less than $1 for each one, and they work great!

Another vote for soft terry baby washcloths. I don't think flannel would swipe up poo messes quite so well.

Ditto what PP have said. The thin type which are cotton polyester. Ive bought quite a lot of different types from online nappy stores. And here even the cheapest sets cost around $25 for 10 wipes. Its just way too much and Ive found almost all of them to wash up terrible. A lot we got were organic and you can put them in the dryer but as soon as you wet them again they are pretty rough. The cheap type are the only ones which stay soft for ages (like years, not just a few washes) and stay soft when wet. I just got two pack of ten for $6 the other day as they were on clearance. Thats cheap here. I wont be buying any of the 'professional' diaper ones anymore!

I use these bamboobino cloths

Nice size, soft, naturally antibacterial. All good.

with my dd I went with the cheap regular size mulit pack of white washcloths (like 12 for $5)
I still have them 9yrs later and use them as our everyday bath wash cloths, a little dingy and worn, but still very usable.

I don't know what I'll do for this LO. My choices right now are...

1. use what we had for dd but we probably won't have enough since we already go through them fairly quickly.

2. use kitchen wipes for LO (same style but dark green) and buy pretty kitchen wipes/napkins

3. buy multi pack of cheap baby wash cloths for LO

My favorites are these http://www.babykicks.com/store/produ...wipes-1011.cfm. They are a little more in price than hyenacart or diaperswappers, but I like them the best

2 ply flannel

or

cotton velour, organic hemp velour or organic bamboo velour.

flannel is a die hard fabric and it was a huge part of my diapering stash and is also a large part of our UN-TP family cloth stash.

I made mine - one side terry, one side flannel. $12 plus an afternoon at my mom's to use her serger got me 50 wipes. Hard to beat that.

I hadn't even though about regular baby washcloths! :-)

I liked the wipes I got from emibeans first time around, but missed out ordering more before her shop closed.

I'll definitely try those out, thanks!
