The Office! - Page 2

I'm so mad at Michael! He has to ruin everything! I love the actor that plays David Wallace. He's really good at that character. I laughed when Pam told Michael "Please don't talk about my breast milk." Too funny!

There are few episodes when I truly dislike Michael and this was one of them. He is so selfish and needy that he'd rather hold Jim back than let him succeed and better himself. He only finally agreed to it in the end because he didn't want to lose Jim. I hated that. MICHAEL - AGH!

And, yeah, it was definitely Ryan... not sure why. He's such a tool, it would have been better from someone else. Creed saying it would have made a lot more sense, given backgrounds and all.

I've been busy watching my new Season 5 DVDs.

I'm just so confused about the logistics of having 2 managers in one office. I know that Jim and Michael will be in charge of different areas of the office, but it doesn't seem at all realistic to me. I can see how it will be funny to watch the fall out, but at the end of the episode I just looked at DH and said WTF?

Me too. He was just awful. I'm sure Jim has some kind of karmic payback in mind. And yeah, Dwight didn't look too happy either

That site is too funny. Do you think the publicity team put it together or is it more of a fan site??

It's an NBC site. They had the link on The Office FB page. They also had one for Angela and Andy when they were supposed to get married.

Pam & Jim's wedding is on Oct 8th! Here's the preview (no spoilers, just old footage that will make you cry) http://www.nbc.com/The_Office/video/...nding/1161645/

What did everyone think of tonight's episode? I was not impressed. It still seems totally outlandish that there are 2 managers, and it was just painful to watch. I think my favorite part of the episode was when Pam got the check from Kevin made out to Mrs. Halpert . I also really enjoyed the commercials that featured scenes from Jim and Pam's wedding.

I agree, it was painful to watch. The logistics of having 2 managers just makes no sense to anyone (including the viewers). Everyone was mad at Jim which made me kind of sad.

I'm excited for next week's wedding episode because this one left me feeling kind of blah.

I agree - this week's episode was pretty blah. Very excited about the wedding, though

The only thing that I laughed at during this episode were a couple of Creed moments. Oh, and also the fact that you could hear Kevin yelling, "What does a bean mean?" in the background when Michael ducked into Jim's office.

That was really sweet. And although my husband thinks it's "out of character" - Pam getting sucked into Ryan's get-rich-quick thing was pretty funny. It's uncomfortable to watch her talk about things like trying to get an RSVP because it's $75 a plate and hinting that she wants money BUT - those conversations come up SO often. It feels realistic. Even good/nice/polite/wonderful people have little twinges of - man, but we could really use the cash.

The worst thing about this episode is that Jim is supposed to be pretty smart. NO ONE would ever make an announcement like that about raises - who is getting them, how much, why, etc. No way. It just wouldn't happen. It just felt so fake and false, it was distracting.

NiteNicole- there was definitely something inauthentic about that moment when Jim made the announcement. I think you nailed it!

I liked how at the end Michael went into Jim's office with a mug of gin and he was happy to have some company in the situation. Maybe Jim's going to turn into a Michael-esque style of manager?

The first three episodes so far seem kind of like fill while we wait for the wedding episode next week! Nothing majorly funny so far!

The bean thing was painful. They should have known better than to leave that in the room. They should have known better than to do that in the first place!

I thought Ryan's proposition was hilarious!

The bean thing - Jim is supposed to be smart. He's supposed to have had this big turn around where he wants to do a good job because of Pam and the baby. He's worked in that office so he knows how people are - and yet he just left it all on the table? Of course not.

It just so wouldn't happen.

I love the oddball uncomfortable and realistic comedy of The Office so things like this, to me, just kind of ruin it.

Also, I love Kelly. More Kelly!

I love Kelly, too!

What is Meredith's job? I thought she was in sales, too, but she was upset about not getting a raise.

Meredith is in supplier relations.

(I didn't know either.)

Supplier relations... hm, never heard them mention that. I too was wondering what her job title was. She's the only one I was confused about.

That reminds me of the episode where Creed forgets what his job title is. "Quasi-something?"

remember the steak dinner thing from a season or two ago?

Quote:
Meredith has been sleeping — once a month for the past six years — with Bruce Meyers, the Scranton rep for Hammermill in exchange for discounted supplies and gift certificates to Outback Steak House.

When Holly asks Meredith if her meet-ups with Bruce were unrelated to business, Meredith replies, "No, I wouldn't have done it if it wasn't for the discount paper. There's not a lot of fruit in those looms."

Michael, exasperated: "For the love of God, trying to help you, you stupidbag."

Meredith: "It's funny. Maybe it's a girl thing but after we did it and he would give me those coupons, I just felt good about myself."
That was what I thought of regarding her job title
