Safety of older simmons crib? Plan to sidecar

We are considering getting an older crib, and planning to sidecar it. It was made in 1987 in the USA. It's a Simmons, model number 4319 86 306

The lady we are getting it from says the mattress fits snugly and the vertical rail spacing meets current codes. It has adjustable mattress height and is solid wood.

Is there anything I should be aware of for safety risks? I tried to google it but couldn't find anything on it at all. I'm almost thinking an older crib might be safer, with all the recalls that have been going on lately!

Thanks!!

I was looking for the same thing, but I see you don't have any responses. Anyone?

We went ahead and got the crib. Haven't set it up yet. It seems very stable, and we measured the bars are within modern safety standards.
