My 4 year old is very allergic to bug bites. I hate the idea of chemicals all over her- is there anything good that will get the sting out of a bug bite?

We use this. Don't let the name make you think it's just for diaper rash. This is the only thing that works for me and dd.

SARNA is an anti-itch lotion that works well for me, and I am bug bait. Wal-Mart carries it. It used to be behind the counter, but now it is out on the shelf with first aid stuff.

I just use the witch hazel astringent you find in just about any grocery/drugstore. It is usually kept by the rubbing alcohol. It has always woorked well for me, and I tend to react pretty bad to bug bites.

Tea tree essential oil and/or lavender essential oil - one single drop applied "neat" (undiluted)

How do you mean? DO you use it as a preventative to prevent mosquito bites for example, or did you mean, after you get bit, it helps the itch?
