Likes to suck on fabric?

My 4 months old (turns 4 months today!) seems to enjoy to suck on fabric a bit. He does not like pacifiers or bottles but will suck on his hands and will pull a muslin blanket up to his face and suck on it or rub it on his eyes when he is tired. Lately when he's sleeping next to me and if he is laying on his side he will suck on the sheet a little bit and make a big wet spot. lol
My twins used paci's so this is way new to me. ha ha Anyone else's baby do this???

Yup! My 8mo has done it for a long time and still does it!

None of my kids did this but OMG! That sounds adorable!

I haven't met a baby that doesn't... mine have all liked tags the most

When I was a baby (and into toddler years) my mom bought a bunch of those soft white pillow cases (white so it could be bleached) and that was my security blanket. I never took a paci so that was my "thing" that I had.

lol I still like to have the sheet up close to my face when I sleep.

My 3 month old does that. Any time I wear him, I have a huge wet spot on my shirt and the wrap. It is really cute. I just make sure my shirts are double rinsed in the wash and same with the wrap.

I did that as a baby. My mom got me a blanket with silky binding around the edge, and I spent years sucking on that instead of a pacifier, she had to keep replacing the binding for me. That's so sweet to hear about another baby doing that.

My five year old still does that to this day (only for sleeping-like a thumb)!!!

My 4mo loves it! I dampen a wash cloth and let him suck on it

My 4 month old is doing that too! In fact, she was fussy at Costco todaya nd I put a rag in her hand and INSTANTLY it went to her mouth! lol So adorable. i feel like the roughness might feel good on her gums.

my 4 month old sucks on everything, boob binky and fabric plus hands and fist and feet.

My 10-month old does this - always has! She "nurses" to sleep with her blanky now, and if she doesn't have a blanky she'll use her shirt! It's so cute and it seems so comforting to her (she's never been a big comfort nurser).

My son started with a lovey when he was a bit older than that. It's a blanket with satin trim. He never took a paci, or really a bottle for that matter. Never was a big comfort nurser either, but loves that darn blanket! He still uses it to sleep with. Doesn't bother me. My little brother did the same with a similar blanket when he was little.
