Early puberty - boy?

Hi,

My son is not quite 9, and he is tall for his age (5 ft.), his feet are the same size as mine (size nine womens) has back hair and very hairy arms and legs, has body odor, and has begun to get a little acne. I think he may be going through early puberty. I don't want to make a big deal about it, but I also don't want him to feel wierd/bad about it. I went through it kind of early, and no one ever helped me. Any BT, DT? He has books, and there are classes at our local children's hospital.....

It's a hard one to judge. The lower limit for boys is usually set around age 9. The weight given is 55 kg (121 lbs).

I realize this is coming late but I wanted to add my 2 cents. My ds who just turned 10 this month has started puberty. He is 75 lbs wears a size 7 shoe is about 4'11 and only occasionally has stinky armpits. I think it feels really early but he is my baby.
