Ordering magazines - will you help me decide?

I never order magazines but, a friend is having a fundraiser and I'm trying to decide on a couple magazines.

I'm already getting America Girl for DD and DH wants Entertainment Weekly - both of these are super expensive! So, I need to limit my choices.

I've read reviews at Amazon and I think I have it narrowed down to these:

Body and Soul
Health
Shape
All You

Does anyone subscribe to any of these? Are they worth the money? If you had to only pick two, which ones would you pick?

TIA!

Why order something you don't want? They only get a small percentage of the ordering price, anyway. Instead, give a small cash donation to the organization that is doing the fundraising--they get to keep that 100%, and you aren't ordering a magazine you don't really want or need.

I didn't say I didn't want them, I just never order magazines but then this fundraiser came up and figured I'd try some new magazines. So, I do want one of the magazines - I'm just not sure which one.

The only one I'm really familiar with is Shape, which I subscribed to for years. (I stopped when I got pregnant with DS because I moved on to allll the gazillion pregnancy/parenting magazines out there until I came to my senses and settled on Mothering. )

Other than a few issues like not agreeing with some of their cover model choices, etc., I found it to be a good magazine. It covers a variety of ways to exercise (yoga, running, walking, weights), has good recipes, tips, and was in general a good motivator for me to lead a healthy lifestyle. Some of the articles aren't as in depth as they could be, perhaps, but I still always felt like I came away better informed. There are the usual beauty/fashion tips that you find in a lot of women's magazines.

Hope that helps! Maybe you could also flip through the current issue of each of the magazines at your local bookstore and see which one appeals to you the most?

I like Body & Soul magazine. It feels cozt and I like how it's more alternative.

I also like food magazines, I don't know if you can pick any of those ones, but Clean Eating sometimes has great recipes.

I also just picked up This Old House magazine and love all the home improvement ideas in there. I know the last 2 aren't on your list, but I thought I'd throw them out there in case you can get them!

I used to get the Shape magazine, but I found I didn't do any of the exercises so I stopped getting them.

Have fun picking your magazines! I live in Canada, so the magazines are more expensive up here, otherwise I would subscribe to a few.

I love all you. It pays for itself with all the coupons. My husband actually bought 20 copies of the august issue because it had a free coupon for jacks links chicken jerky, worth $7.. Then I got a TON of free ketchup using the ketchup coupon in it..

All You is great if you use coupons. If not, then I wouldn't bother.
