thank you everyone for all the advice. my appointment is next week. i will keep everyone updated.

i am feeling a little bit better....i am not afraid to be alone in the house. i am sleeping a little bit better. i forced myself to do something this weekend and it was kind of fun so things are a tiny bit better.

UPDATE:

Just had my appt. Diagnosed with a mood disorder, most likely mild bipolar with a hormonal component. Given a prescrition for lamactical and some sleeping meds.


Any thoughts on lamactal?

yup yup and yup. Was on for several years before our last two babies and was the most stable and happy I'd been in forever. Went off to get pregnant and breastfeed and was off for 4 very hard years, finally weaned our last child recently and have started back on. I cannot express how much I love Lamictal.

I'm pregnant on Lamictal & will continue through breastfeeding. I would not stop taking my medication for any reason.

Everyone is going to make a different decision as far as any medication/substance during pregnancy, but the risk/benefit for me is clear.
