I almost feel human again!

I forget how completely consuming the very end of pregnancy is. I've been thoroughly enjoying the fact that my emotions are far more levelnow, and that some of the fog is beginning to lift.

Now I'll jump on the hormone roller coaster, but I can handle that far better than late pregnancy.

YES!!! So many people talk about how hard the newborn stage is, but in all honesty, I've found it so much easier than the end of pregnancy! Sure, it's tiring, but at least my body is MINE again (with the exception of breastfeeding), the physical change alone is enough to make me feel SO MUCH BETTER that any of the difficulties in caring for the baby are nothing!!!

I can't wait to have my body back. I'm really growing tired of this belly. Yesterday I bumped into a bookcase and have a huge gash across my belly now. I'm sick of waddling, too.

Sorry for ddc crashing (but I'm actually going to be a Sept. mama too, so I like to read your threads sometimes) ANYWAY, I just wanted to say yes! I agree! I HATE late pregnancy, but LOVE the newborn phase...soooo much easier

Ahhhhggg, I can't wait. And as a first-timer it is nice to hear that you do feel human again so soon. . .I feel positively bitchy and bipolar at this point. And then I feel so guilty b/c I get mad at DH for not "getting it", but I don't really get it either! I'm just a miserable mess.

I'm with you confustication!! We took everyone to the State Fair today and things that would have had me in tears 2 weeks ago just rolled right off my back. I have patience w/my older kids, my body feels pretty darn near normal (only 11 more lbs to my regular weight!), and my hormones are level- like a regular human being Even being up mostly all night with a newborn doesn't leave me with the body-wrenching fatigue that the end of pg does.

hmmm... I'm on day six pp and still in a lot of pain. Moving isn't so fun yet -- but definitely getting better. I'm looking forward to week 2. You guys are encouraging for the Good to come :-)

Yeah, this was day 2, so I'm still a bit slowed down, but I did manage to make dinner with the newborn nursing in a sling, amuse the one year old change him, and get him to bed, and go over the oldest's homeschool work all at once. Now I'm tired!

A couple days ago dinner alone was more than I was up to managing.
