Michelle was born Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at 1:38am by cesarean section. 7pounds 10ounces and 20inches long :-) She is perfectly beautiful.
After more than 14 hours of laboring with good contractions (and nearly the max amount of pitocin they can give me since I'd had a section previously) I made no change and baby would not come down. I was up moving, changing positions, using the bathroom, etc. Nothing helped. When we went ahead with the section we discovered that her head hadn't come down because it was stuck on my pelvis. She had a nasty little bruise from that, but it's easing up now.
She's only lost a little bit of weight so far and came home today at 6pounds 15ounces. She's so perfectly precious...
And just because I have to say it - new baby smell beats new car smell any day!
