A little Early...

but if you celebrate christmas what are you planning on buying/making your LO?

I know what we are getting DS1 but cannot come up with anything for DS2!

I know he will not even remember this so I would like to just come up with a keepsake of some sort but I have no ideas. Anyone have Ideas?

I was thinking about doing a really elaborate photo book for my LO. I want to save it to a disk, save it online, and print it so we never have to worry about fire or flood destroying it (lost my baby book to a fire - not fun). I was also going to use Christmas as my 'due date' for getting together any other pregnancy/birth/early months keepsakes and finding safe storage for them. Then, we're buying a pack and play (unless we find one at a garage sale today).

You could also make some Christmas ornaments (baby's first, decorative, or maybe some that indicate what you want for the LO) and then pass them on to the babe when he moves out.

Good luck!

For a nice little keepsake, a nice wooden rattle like this or this.

four months is so tiny!

I'm making stockings this year and a solstice calendar for each kiddo (we celebrate solstice on the 21st, then visit family on the 25th). I was thinking maybe making him some flannel animals and finishing his baby quilt.

Maybe a donation in the babe's name, or an experience gift for the whole family (science center, zoo, magazine subscription)?

Sage- I love the rattles! Have you seen some of the one's on Etsy? I just bought on from this shop for Ky and I am waiting to get it, they are so beautiful! http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id...ion_id=6059924

For Ky I might make a few things for him, but otherwise I might wait and let the Rocking Horse we splurged on be his gift since it might be a while before it is finished.

First up, I need to make a bunch of stockings for my kids! LOL!

My dd will be 6 months at Christmas (but only 4 adjusted - she was due in August but came in July.)

Anyway so far I have
***rattles and shakers,
a play mat (you know those gym things that they lay on under the dangly things! LOL!
Like this.... http://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-R...=ATVPDKIKX0DER
Sock puppets or hand puppet things
We have a tradition of Jammies for the girls on Christmas Eve, so she'll get that for sure.
Beyond that I'm still searching for ideas.

Basically my plan is developmental stuff that will stimulate her and get her doing what she needs to do. I'll probably make them each something too. But I'm just getting started.

I need ideas for my 3.5 yr old who has a birthday in December too!
