colostrum?

I am 38 weeks and will be having the baby next week. I thought by now I was leaking from my breasts with my last pregnancy. However, I have seen nothing thus far. I've even tried squeezing them to see if anything is there (sorry if tmi) and nothing. How do I know I will even have anything once I go in next week for surgery? I'm so nervous that it's not going to go well. The plan is to try and BF this baby as soon as possible after the birth. I thought I'd be at least leaking a little by now. I've never breastfed before and I remember it happening with my other two. It seemed like I had leaking before this point in my other pregnancies.

Often Mamas do not leak the second time around. Many don't get engorged either! But they manage to make enough milk for baby with no problems.

Best wihses for the birth. Remember even if baby won't latch right after birth, the skin-to-skin (not wrapped up in a blanket, but right on your skin) really helps.

I have had completely different scenerios with all three of my kiddos.. from leaking super early to no leaking at all and I have managed to have a fine supply for all, even when one was exclusively pumping... don't worry too much mama!

iI had almost no leaking at all with this last pg. at 6 hours old I had to start pumping cause he went to the nicu and I pump 3 oz total the first try. So leaking really means nothing. It should be fine.

I didn't leak at all while pregnant or until about 5 days after delivery. Now the boobs are like faucets! Don't worry about it.
