can anyone tell me how much fruit a mature dwarf apple tree can produce on average? a bushel or few, or not even? also, how wide around do they get? i'm thinking about planting one in our backyard but I don't want to shade out the few good areas I can plant a garden so I need to plan carefully.
also what kind of care do they need, yearly? some tell me apple trees are a pain in the butt and others tell me they don't do anything and get good fruit. so what gives? :-)
