Resources for an absolute beginner - quilting

I've used a sewing machine before, but I'm definitely still a beginner. I am hoping to make a doll quilt for DD, the tied kind, very simple. I've looked around online and I'm a bit overwhelmed. Can anyone recommend a good place to start? A book or a website that you think would help me?

I would get the Fons and Porter Quilter's Complete Guide.

And get your hands on as many quilting books as possible. Sometimes the pictures in one book won't click, but another book's will.

Quilting is not hard, it's relatively simple if you know all the terminology. Certain aspects seem tricky until you get the hang of it.

A few good books and you will be on your way!
