I remember this from one of my Art classes...
Then, Ina May Gaskin showed it during one of her workshops - it is interesting that most of Sheela-na-Gigs were found on the walls of churches (imagine this decoration on today's churches!)! I prefer "Mother Goddess" meaning (compared to "representation of female sin/lust" blah blah blah).

I saw those in Ina May's Guide to Childbirth, and it made quite an impression on me, too. Maybe I need to start looking at them again and get some contractions going!
