haha I know what you mean! My twins are 21 months old and I care for them full-time during the day, and by the time husband gets home and we've cleaned up/gotten the kids to bed I am soo D-O-N-E, *but* I'm doing it for the "cause" lol (I REALLY want to get things going I am 41 weeks tomorrow and haven't had ANY signs of impending labor yet). I'll let you know if it works

Hi everyone! Today is my due date! I had a midwife appointment yesterday: 2+ cm dilated, 40% effaced, +1 station. She stripped the membranes. I am so ready for baby to be here!

I'm still waiting... I think my body forgot that it hasn't given birth yet.

Still here! I'm 40+5 today, so not really even late yet; however, I've been NSTed and BPPed twice this week (Monday and today) and while baby looks fine and fluid looks fine, my placenta is looking bad. :/ It's apparently totally normal for the placenta to be looking calcified and kinda crappy at this point, but mine looks worse than it ought to.

Because of the state of the placenta, my doctor's not comfortable with me going much past 41 weeks, which would be Sunday. Meanwhile, my doula is leaving the state for four or five days starting Tuesday morning. Aaaah!

So, we're going to TRY to induce with cervidil tomorrow night. Hopefully, this will be enough to push me into real labor. Doctor has high hopes, because I'm about 90% effaced and 1.5cm dilated. She is actually still really hopeful that I'll go into labor before tomorrow night, especially since I was only 70% effaced on Monday.

I feel some apprehension about the induction, but I think it's the right thing to do. We discussed what happens if it DOESN'T work, which is basically that we wait and try again. Not as scary as it could be, especially since this birth center's policy is to avoid using pit unless absolutely necessary and to NEVER use cytotec.
