Cushie Traveler What Age?

Has anyone used the Cushie Traveler Potty reducer? At what age would be a good age to start using one?

My DD is six months and doesn't like to be held over the big potty when we go out. At home we use a BBLP and a Bumbo potty reducer, and I hold her over a bowl before bed and first thing in the morning and that seems fine. But when we go out she doesn't like it and the Bumbo reducer is to big to haul around. We started bringing the BBLP with us to friends houses and such.

Just wondering if anyone had any experience with the Cushie or had any advise on the matter.

I use it on my 14 month old. The only problem is there is a gap in the front so at first it made her feel a little insecure. I'm not sure if it would work at 6 months or not. You could always get it now & try it, just know that it may or may not work until she is older.

Kind of OT: but my husband is wondering how well the Cushie Traveler works? it looks like it could easily collapse into the toilet.

It's great because it folds up and easily fits in the diaper bag. I like that it is cushie especially now that dd uses an insert at home as well (no more bblp) and the one here is also kind of cushie. However, it doesn't fit all toilets very good. If the toilet is more oval shaped and bigger it still works it just looks a little unsafe. We have never had a problem and still use it because public toilets gross me out and they are too big anyway. We just make sure we are fully holding onto her, just in case. Overall I would recommend it!
