June 2010 Due Dates - Introduce Yourself Here! - Page 5

EDD: 6/05/10 (or May 31, if I believe the calculation based on LMD)
Name: Danica
Age: 27
Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): DH and DD (2 years 8mo)
Baby's Gender (hopes or guesses): I'd like to try a boy now
Birth Plans/Preferences: If I can't find a decent hospital (covered by insurance) then the only hb mw in the country (who we can't afford). We live in Serbia...
Anything else you'd like to share: Had PPD with my first and thought I might never have more kids... didn't feel like myself until I weaned her at 2 years 7 months... which apparently disturbed my otherwise very regular cycle... and I think I conceived on the 19th day . Feeling GREAT now (progesterone likes me!) but am afraid of what will happen once baby is born. Also afraid of giving birth in this country, with these medical 'professionals' again, but not adventurous and DIY enough for UCing

Anything else you'd like to share: Still doing a lot of breast feeding with DS, and he is the jealous type, so I am curious how that will work out!
Our DC are birthday buddies! DD was born 5/9/08 as well! And for this little June Bug, I'm saying June 3ish, since DD was anything but prompt. We're still breastfeeding, too. Currently agonizing over whether to encourage weaning or start learning about tandem nursing.

ok. I'm here, I'll join and stop being in denial lol.

EDD: MW said May 30th, online calculator said June 1st? Either way I'm a week over kinda gal
Name: Christina or Phoenix (nicknames love to stick around!)
Age: 23
Location: bay area, CA
Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): My DH and I have two girls, August 3years old, and Liberty, 15 months old. Plus 3 cats.
Baby's Gender (hopes or guesses): I'm not sure, part of me says boy but then again, our track record leans towards girl...lol. But we're going to wait until birth to find out this time so I have a LONG time to make guesses....
Names you like: I'm a name obsesser. My current boy name is Beckett, my current girl name is Camille or Camilla.
Birth Plans/Preferences: Homebirth. My midwife's apprentice is starting her own practice now so I may hire her instead. I'm still kinda deciding, but I loved my homebirth last time so thats a for sure detail
Anything else you'd like to share: I felt really guilty the first few days lurking here, so many of you have gone through so much to be here, and everyone is so excited.....I cried my eyes out when I got a BFP. It was really unexpected and I was just starting to move on with my life as my kids got older and out of the baby stage. So I cried and cried and didn't join in. But I'm finally to the point where I'm getting excited, babies are always a blessing and I can handle this! And now I want some of your guys' excitement to rub off on me! (and some one to complain along side as I throw up just from looking at my kitchen lol).
So I hope you guys will take me "as is", I promise to be really excited once it all starts to seem more real....
Oh, and I'm a tandem nurser too. I nursed my DD1 about 6 months after DD2 was born, and now DD2 is nursing while I'm pregnant, so I'll probably tandem again.

Just for the sake of accuracy, I'm actually expecting #1 AND #2 after a loss.

EDD: June 14, 4 days after DH's and my 5th anniversary and my late father's birthday!
Name: CatholicBFMama
Age: 27
Location: Texas
Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): DH, Bridget (3) and Catherine (6 months)
Baby's Gender (hopes or guesses): since we already have 2 girls, I'd love a boy, but I really don't care either way. I'm predicting another girl, though.
Names you like: For a girl--Magdelene Juliana; for a boy--Luke Robert
Birth Plans/Preferences: I plan to use the same 2 midwives I used for my girls. Maybe a homebirth this time.
Anything else you'd like to share: This pregnancy was a complete surprise and I'm a little nervous about having 3 children under 5, but I believe that children are a gift from God, and that He will take care of us, regardless.

I'm right there with you! I'm so excited to be pregnant again and expecting another baby, but I have been having a rough go of it otherwise - I really didn't want a summer baby, or babies this close together, and it's horrible timing with DH's work right now. So, I know exactly what you mean. I'm here if you need to vent

EDD - June 20, 2010
Name: Katherine
Age: 34
Location: Boston Suburb
Family: DH and DS 8/11/03 and DD 9/7/06
Gender: Not sure if I'll find out in advance of birth. Did with other two and a surprise would be nice. But since two of our children will need to share a room, it would be nice to find out and plan a bit.
Name: Always a surprise!
Birth plan: Copays on the hospital where we had the other kids are way up: $700 for a birth as compared to $200 for some closer and equally well regarded hospitals. So we'll need to make a change, but it will likely be a hospital. I'd like to use a midwife.
