I will NOT try the castor oil lol.

I'm not opposed to it but haven't done the pineapple yet, nor eggplant parm

tell me what else to do? I drove the car yesterday and "accidentally" went over railroad tracks real bumpy

I'm going to talk to my MW about black and blue cohosh at my appt on Wednesday...

Evening primrose oil, vaginally - for cervix ripening (if you are past 38th week, 4 caps of 500mg would be fine, and 2 caps of 500 mg if you are under 38th week mark);

RRL tea - how strong of a brew are you drinking? I make an infusion (loose leaf, handful, per 1 quart, but I mix in nettle and alfa-alfa, too), that sits at least 4 hours, so it's really strong, and I def. feel strong BH working, after drinking it...

I've heard, but not tried, great things about accupuncture and accupressure, to start things, IF EVERYTHING IS READY... none of the mentioned strategies work if body & baby are not ready. Also, chiropractic adjustment.

Hang in there, it will happen soon - use this time to get as much rest as possible.

Jumping up and down, swinging, arm wrestling, acupressure on spleen 6 (inside of leg 4 finger widths above your ankle bone. Press forward a little on your shin bone. It should feel sore like a bruise. Then rub for 15 sec periodically throughout the day).

Accupressure is great, and I know it works so that is great advice.

Jumping up and down - I don't think this advice is safe... I know some women who did try this, and it just is not safe, please think about it....

Walking is great for uterine muscles, and if you are sure of baby's position and head engagement - squats.

I actually went swinging today just cause I felt like it! I was at the park with my twin toddlers and while my husband was tending to them I just had this sudden bizarre urge to swing (and I NEVVER usually am like that heh)

my RRL tea strength is strong just cause I prefer it that way

I know this is all just a big lesson in patience

My MW recommended accupunture. I have also heard that parsley is a labor inducer, although I personally do not place expectations on foods for this. If I go past my due date I will try accupuncture and then castor oil. . .in that order.

(Well, I mean besides the fun stuff! Assuming DTD is still fun at this point.)

Not in your DDC, but based on past personal experience....wait!

Huh really? My midwife was the one who told me to try this just this week. I had been thinking that it wasn't really a good idea, but since they told me it was good to do, I've tried it a few times. Now I'm rethinking and I'll have to ask them again about it at this week's appt.

I remember this from a workshop with Ina May : she was commenting on "Business of Being Born" and how it was terrible of Cara (midwife) to let a preggo woman run to the car (there was a scene, if you watched it, when Cara is in parked illegaly, and Abby is running towards her), and someone mentioned jumping, trampoline, and jumping jacks - I guess, anything with too much bouncing is not recommended.

Of course, ladies who regularly jogged for a while before their pregnancy - still continue (although, belly support belts are recommended.... and I have a friend who did have weaker ligaments after running - for her, baby + running proved too much)...

I am not an expert, go with your gut, but for me, personally, a red flag went off when I read this...

Take care!

I could jump once, but then I'd have to sit down and rest a while.
