Fridge not working right. . . .

Ok, over the weekend my fridge hasnt been working right. We found it saturday morning when the milk wasnt very cold. DH and my FIL started checking things out and found the fridge needed reset or something. Anyways, its running fine now. My question is, my fridge was cool but not cold for about 2 days. Do you think my food is ok? DH already tried the milk and cheese and I ate the cream cheese spread on my bagel and its all ok. I have some ground sausage I was wondering if it was safe to use? I also have salad dressings in the door, do you think they will be ok too? We went ahead and threw out the mayo because I know thats not something to mess with and it wasnt much left anyways.

Actually, pretty much all of your condiments are probably fine, and that includes the mayo. Mayo, mustard, ketchup, salad dressings, etc., all contain preservatives that will keep them for a good long time, even at room temp. And mayo could be stored in the pantry instead of the fridge - in fact some people do just that. It'll generally mold before it "goes bad".

As for the meat, I'd give it the sniff test - if it smells off, I wouldn't eat it. But if the milk is fine, chances are good the meat is too.
