Badger Balm?

Thread Starter
I'm thinking of picking up a tin of this to use for my DD.

She's having a tough time falling asleep or staying asleep lately and I thought it might help.

Any experience with this product? Is the scent very strong?

Any alternative ideas for a toddler whose mind is racing at nighttime?

We have this. I sometimes put a little bit on my kids (not the baby) for sleeping and I love the smell. I couldn't say for sure if it helps them sleep, but I tell them it does and it makes them feel special when I put it on so that's good enough for me. I don't feel the scent is very strong, just right actually. The only downside I can see is that it's vaseline-like, so very sticky. Doesn't stain on the bedsheets though. We also have the babybalm and lipbalm, apart from the product I love those tins.

I have some that I use on DD and on myself. I like the scent, it's not overpowering. I do agree with the pp that it is sticky.

I created a spray for DD to help her fall asleep. I got the idea from a book and tweaked it a bit. DD loves this stuff and I make it whenever it runs out. Just spritz the child (eyes CLOSED) and the sheets and pillow and wherever. It can be used simply to scent a room or to chase "monsters" away or the help little ones fall asleep or whatever.

spray bottle
water
lavender essential oil
sweet orange essential oil
roman chamomile essential oil

The spray bottle we use holds about 5-6 ounces of water and I use one drop of each of the above three EOs. SHAKE BEFORE EACH USE.
