This is what I think as well. I wonder what will happen when he first sees his reflection, or someone else sees him as Sylar and he is still thinking he's Nathan.

ok back to why I quoted that bit up there. Keeping in mind I havent seen any of the episodes yet, I think I read here that Gretchen doesnt seem to have any powers?? Did I read that right? If so, what if her powers are that of manipulation. You are all wondering why Clair is her friend, but maybe Gretchen has to power to manipulate people like that?? hmmmm?

Also, I remember the whole thing with Angela Patrelli and all that stuff about her sister... was that at the end of last season? Or am I way off. Where did that fit in and what happened with all that?

Its been a while
You can catch up with the new season on Hulu so you don't have to wait. http://www.hulu.com/ I don't have a digital tuner that works so I have to watch shows online anyway.

I don't think Gretchen has powers of manipulation. She's just annoying and persistant.

Sadly, hulu is a U.S. only site.

I think there are other ways to get the episodes overseas, but I'm pretty sure they aren't really "legal".

Sorry. Wow that's annoying. I didn't know there was such a thing as a US only site. I thought it was called the World wide web for a reason. I can go on .uk, .au, and .ca sites. I wonder why they won't let you go on Hulu.

Edited to add: I did a search on this. They were planning on getting Hulu up and running in the UK in Sept 2009 but because of tricky licensing it got delayed til Sept of next year. When that happens we'll be able to see UK licensed stuff here too.

Can you go to the NBC site?

Here's some recaps for you.
Orientation/ Jump, push, fall
Ink
Acceptance
Hysterical Blindness
Hope they work.

Anyway, any comments about Monday's show?

Warning :: Spoiler Ahead! Highlight to read message!
I thought that Sylar's body would still think he's Nathan. He's kind of a blank slate. I wonder what will happen when the new gentler Sylar gets the old Bada$$ Sylar put back in his head.

Kind of like to see Peter making friends. I'm not interested at all into what caused Emma to give up her residency to be a file clerk. I've never once met a deaf person who really cared what a hearing person thought of them. The deaf community is pretty close and don't consider themselves disabled in anyway. This kind of self-pity is not common. I'm thinking that she wasn't always hearing impaired.

At least Gretchen didn't murder Annie. Don't know why the invisible woman did though. Its not like Claire was getting very close to Annie. Maybe she should have pushed Gretchen out the window instead. Gretchen still seems like a creepy stalker even though she has a crush on Claire.

I find it interesting that without any recollection of who he is, Sylar first thinks of himself as a good person.

I really like the visual music/sounds in the show. I'm a sucker for art and music, though. It's weird how Emma automatically thought Peter's comment meant more than it did regarding getting out of the file room. As though she thought her mom set Peter up and was using him to get Emma out of there. Paranoid.

I think she lost her hearing 6 years ago in the same 'accident?' that killed Christopher (and I'm thinking Christopher was either her husband or her brother).

at invisible woman pushing Gretchen out the window instead. I can't imagine why she wouldn't have noticed the attention/friendship with Gretchen. Why hasn't she offed Gretchen yet? I'd love to see that happen because Gretchen annoys the crap outta me. She's pushy, condescending, secretive.

finally watched the latest!

i feel bad for sylar! thats a first for sure!
i dont know what i'm, talking about here, as i don't know anyone who lost their hearing in an accident, (and i'm trying not to sound ignorant!) but it seems to me like emma has a certain speech (accent?) that i associate with a person who has never heard themselves speak? i would imagine that a hearing person who is involved with a hearing loss would still speak the same way as before. did i make sense??
i dont know why ms.invisible hasnt gotten to gretchen, seems like it would be easier than making claire think she was a crazy stalker.
what is samuel's power? he's got the compass thing, the tattoo thing, and then last night with the dirt and the holes in the field? (i dont know what he was doing.. ) at least this ewek was more intersting than last week!

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Maybe because they cast a deaf actress to play Emma?

Maybe Claire would start getting suspicious if everyone around her suddenly started dropping dead. It doesn't appear that hard to make Gretchen out as a stalker. Maybe because she is a crazy stalker.

I'm not sure what you mean with the compasss thing, that was a tattoo. He's definately got the tattoo power. The chick with the etch-a-sketch back is a seer and with samuel's help she can do pictures of what she sees. I seem to remember that Samuel said that his ability to move dirt is a new talent of his and he's not sure where it came from. He moved dirt in the season opener at his brother's funeral. He put the dirt over the grave.

OT

I think the Heroes thread is the only thread that has more blacked out than not.

Back to the thread...

wasn't there a real compass at some point too? from the deposit box at the bank, and noah thought it was broken but then it started spinning.. wasn't that samuels compass?
and the dirt, I guess I was just trying to figure out how moving dirt and magical tattoos were connected. maybe he can "absorb" powers too?

There were two compasses. One that I assume belonged to his brother. He threw that one in his brother's grave. The other Samuel had Edgar steal from Noah. I'm thinking it probaly really belonged to him and Danko stole it from him. It had a crack in the face and spun when Peter held it. I think the compass is important somehow but I don't think its part of his power. He just made moving tattoos that looked like it. I wonder if moving dirt was his brother's power?

seriously? no comments on monday's ep??
i just watched it last night and came here excitedly ready to see what people thought.

So I think I'm confused about Peter now.. when he got Emma's power he had just touched her arm or some such thing, accidentally. then last night when he got hiro's power, he was talking to Emma and I was (actually talking to the tv..) "Don't touch Emma! You'll get her power!" and he touched her arm like 3 times and then disapperated (can you tell I miss HP!). So, what up with that?

omg I didn't notice that he touched emma 3 times! Its hard to pay attention with a toddler....I feel I always miss the small things!

I liked the episode. I always enjoy Sylar, even if it is the same thing, Sylar trying to find himself over and over again.

I like Emma a lot too but I think we've seen enough of her ability while playing music. its really cool but let's do something else. maybe check on Mohinder?
i like sylar too--- but i'm just not "feeling" this season. it's so confusing to me and I usually follow it well. i read you ladies' responses and it helps a bit. i just hope it clears up a bit!
Yeah, I've seen enough of Emma and her pretty lights. Have her do something with them already.

Mohinder hasn't been around this season at all. I wonder what's up with him.

I kind of like that Hiro went to go save Charlie again. She had a brain tumor also, didn't she? Maybe he could bring her forward to the future and Peter could save both of them.

I don't like that Samuel keeps pushing Sylar to be a killer and but I do like that when confronted by the things he's done Sylar is repulsed and horrified. Why did he invite Ernie Hudson to the carnival? They were plenty hidden enough. I thought for sure that Sylar would know that Samuel had invited the cop there when he touched the business card that the cop had handed him. I wonder if it was a test to see if Sylar would kill him. I was kind of saddened that Edgar came in and finished him off when Sylar wouldn't.

thats what i was thinking
Okay so now we know what the compasses do. And Samuel gave Peter a tattoo compass so he could find his way to the carnival.

What do you think is going to happen to the other pledges now that they saw Claire heal? I think Becky will try to kill off both of them and Gretchen too.

I almost cried about what happened to Jeremy. Poor kid.

That was just dreadful, and it's notable that the federal hate crime bill was passed just... yesterday? The day before? I'd just been reminded of that horrible dragging death down in Texas a few years ago.

Dh and I both agreed that Traci doesn't seem the type to join Samuel's carnival family. She's too sophisticated and urban and wouldn't be attracted to his grimy scene.

I agree with the previous poster who said that Nathan's personality is in Sylar's body. That's why he remembers flying, doesn't remember doing these horrible things and can't kill.

The real Sylar was in Matt's head and has now taken over Matt's body.

Wonder if Charlie will break into song??
agreed- it's horrible about jeremy. that was so sad.

now i want charlie to break into song, too. "you're from the fuuuuuture and you will saaaaave me..." hehe
