I had a baby girl two weeks ago, and while she was not breech, she was "face up". I did not have any complications during delivery, but I seem to be taking longer to recover than I did with my first child. Fourteen days later, my lochia is still as heavy as a menstrual flow, with the same reddish/brown colour. Also, I feel a tremendous amount of pressure and discomfort in the perineum area when I've been on my feet for a while. I did not tear during delivery, but there seems to be significant bruising. I'm just wondering if all of this is normal. With 2 kids under 2 now, I need to be in good health and able to function without worry. But I can't help thinking something isn't quite right.
