Yet another newborn question

I think I'm finally narrowing down my diapering options, but I'd love it if experienced CD'ing parents could check my math! I'd really like to stick with natural fibers and (relatively) quick-drying diapers, so this is what I'm thinking for my newborn setup:

Diapers:
1 dozen flats
1 dozen GMD newborn prefolds
2 dozen flannel fitteds with snap-in soakers

Covers:
4 Litewraps
2 Bummis SWW
1 Motherease
1 wool soaker
1 fleece soaker

Other:
Pins and Snappis (I don't know which we'll prefer)
2 or 3 dozen cloth wipes
Pail liner

My thinking is that if I decide I hate flats, or the Bummis covers, at least I won't have wasted too much money, and can just replace whatever doesn't work with something we like. I want to stay away from AIO diapers or any other non-natural diaper fibers. (Even though I'm trying the fleece soaker, hah!)

My primary concerns are ease of washing, speed of drying, and cost. I plan on washing every other day. Will this be enough diapers and covers to start with?

Thanks mamas!

Excellent job! I think you covered just about all the bases. You'll need a minishower or some other diaper sprayer when the baby starts solids. How about wet bags for outings? An extra pail liner for when yours is in the wash?

ditto juliacat's suggestions. Your list looks great!

I think this will be fine for a newborn. I used 36 prefolds and six covers with my kids in the newborn and infant stages, and it worked fine for me. I did wash every day, but my version of "every day" is a lot like some people's version of "every other day" -- it took me all day to do the laundry.

I recommend 2 pail liners, so one can be in use while the other is in the wash with the diapers. I agree that two or three wetbags for outings are useful.

What will you be using for wipes?

Unlike many people, I think a diaper sprayer is completely unnecessary -- I've been cloth diapering my kids for almost five years, and have never felt the slightest urge to buy one.

Thanks, everyone! Good catch on the extra pail liner and the wetbag for outings. I appreciate it!
