whew, birthday party great success, and a big mess, though i did clean up during the party for quite a few hours...then i was exhausted and went to bed

so, i'm going to take it easy today, however:

morning routine, then:
1. do a few rounds of dishes x 1,x 2, x 3
2. 5 minute room rescues x 1, x 2, x 3, x 4
done 3. wash whites + hang

seafood risotto for dinner, make it early! done!!

mostly i'm going to drink tea, knit, + write.

Wow, I have been cleaning my behind off today. Working out the frustration of having the non-helping DH, I guess. Oh well, at least I got some stuff done. I know that using the Swiffer WetJet thingie is great for spot-mopping, but I tend to forget that it's crap for deep-cleaning the floors. I realized my floors were grungy so I spent an hour and a half mopping and scrubbing the kitchen, dining room and both bathrooms (basically all the tile except the laundry area). WAYYY more than 15 minutes!!

Now I am giving myself a 15-minute break on the computer, then it's off to make lunch for the kids and clean the kitchen.

I start 2 new classes today, too, plus I want to start my painting crafts for the Christmas gifts and ornaments I am making. I won't do that until the majority of the cleaning is done. Otherwise it won't get done.

So my list for today is:

---dishes/kitchen counters
---DONE sweep
---DONE mop
---IN PROGRESS back bathroom counters and toilet
---IN PROGRESS at least two loads of laundry washed/dried
---fold and put away the laundry already in my room
---clean up floor in my room
---clean litter boxes
---Day One of new classes stuff

I'd like to get to this stuff too, but we'll have to see how the above goes:

---start organizing hallway computer nook (currently a catch-all filled with stuff)

Somehow my cat escaped the room she was in for re-taming. I'm so sad and all my hard work was just thrown out the window. My poor kitty. I hope she comes home AGAIN.

i'm exhausted today, but i'm sure i'll feel so much better when the place is back in order.

DONE 1. 15 minutes studio
DONE 2. 15 minutes kitchen
3. 15 minutes living + dining
DONE 4. 15 minutes bathroom
DONE 5. 15 minutes bedroom

then - lunch DONE...then:

10 dust
10 vac
10 wipe
10 garbage, recycling, compost
10 watering

if i manage to do this, i might also put in

1 load of laundry

and after groceries, library + ballet,

yogurt on
dinner on

and after bedtime if i am still awake,

knitting!


alternatively, i could cancel everything and go to bed


hmmm...i've run out of time because we added a playdate. so i'll just do that last 15 minutes and move the cleaning hour to tomorrow - except for garbage + recycling!

Come home, kitty!!! I love my cats, I'd be so sad if I lost one. My DH just brought home a 10-month old Labrador pup last week, and she is a handful. She's also all his. She was sleeping in his room until she ate his shoes, now she's all comfy-cozy in the garage. My kitties don't like her, and they've had to stay in their crate while she's in the house. I have a hard time with the dog, since she's big and strong, and I tend to favor the kitties anyway.

Well, let's see where I am with chores:

I got a couple of cabinets organized but still haven't gotten to the computer nook. I also got the dining room re-situated (moved the table, etc.). DS's room is also clean () because of the hour and a half I spent in there, and now we have the battle of trying to keep it that way. DD's Polly Pocket collection is all put up in the rolling cart, three full drawers full of tiny plastic doll accessories.

At least I found a dollhouse to get her for Christmas that won't bankrupt me!

Need to finish the above chores today, especially folding clothes, as well as dishes and dusting.

- do all 57 loads of laundry (collected, washed, dried, folded and put away)
- clean the outside porch (which will get me closer to completing my goal in the November Decluttering thread, which is organizing/decluttering the arts and crafts supplies)
- empty and clean the refrigerator

I'm hoping my husband helps! If we break it down into 15 minute increments spread out all weekend, he can also do the yardwork he's been wanting to do in between, and we will both be happy and productive.

Yesterday was my anniversary, so tonight is the "date." Hence, I need to get some of this stuff done. Particularly the canned goods-sorting... there's a food drive locally, and it ends today. The lady collecting is actually the babysitter tonight, so I want to get this stuff together to take to her.

Tomorrow, we're putting up the tree. We always put it up the weekend before Thanksgiving, because it seems we are always really busy (or out of town) during the holiday weekend. We're going to my parent's house on Christmas instead of Thanksgiving this year, but we'll still stick with tradition putting up the tree.

Off to sort. Hopefully I can get some stuff done today.
