I have got to AT LEAST get my oldest DD's room dealt with today. I'm going in with a vacuum, trash bag, and a WIDE open mind as to what gets thrown and donated!

Hi all, I'm jumping in to your thread b/c I totally need the reinforcement! I've done the FlyLady thing off and on for years but the dang emails are too overwhelming for me. (Or I get distracted and read a bunch of them for 3 hours!)

So, it's the 21st and my Christmas tree isn't up yet. I am slacker mom. Here's my list for today:

Living room:
Straighten living room (will most likely be 3 or 4 15 min sessions)
Sweep & dust living room
Put up Christmas tree (luckily it's a prelit tree and the kids will decorate it!)

Kitchen:
Dishes, dishes, and more dishes.
Declutter the kitchen floor (I have no idea how all these toys and dirty clothes end up in the kitchen floor!!)

*Pack up kids' suitcase - they're spending the night at grandma's!!*

Laundry:
Run 2 loads and put away today!

As I say to my dear friend, who is living with her hubby's family in a island in the Pacific right now, "Tag - You're It!" Then we both run and get as much done on our list as we can and touch base later.

We haven't put up our tree either - that's today's project.

I spent 30 minutes this morning cleaning the spot the tree is going to go - still need to do a lot more work to get it ready to set the tree up tonight.

Going to go work in the Garage while it's warmer and clear room out there for the things from the living room that I'm moving to set the tree up.

I think this is my first time posting on this particular thread, but the 15 min declutter is not a new topic for me!!

Today so far I have :

Dusted everything in the living room
Vacuumed the entry way and living room
Organized/decluttered the living room
Picked up a few random things left on the stairs
Took out some recycling

and now i'm about to go make some lunch then i'll be back for some more!

Aargh - I was really hoping that the window installation would motivate me to keep things picked-up around here. I didn't quite finish getting things ready, and now we have been told we probably won't get them done till Jan - so that's at least 2 weeks for everything to slide!
So, counting on this thread to keep me at it:
Tonight - finish dishes and sort laundry and get it put away.
Tomorrow - keep up with dishes and work on basement playroom.

Got our tree set up, cleaned a little and got halfway done with vacuuming and the belt broke on our vacuum. Can't afford to fix it for a good two weeks, so just going to have to make do as best we can.

Wow, I actually got most of my lengthy last list done before the midwife visited!!

Today I will start out with the following plans:

1) Fold/put away laundry in dryer.

2) Rewash the rest of my laundry (I am allergic to the laundry soap I used last time.)

3) Finish sorting baby's clothing and making note of what we have.

4) Wash all baby clothes in order of size and then put size 0-3 month clothing away. Store the rest in the closet according to size.

5) Wash dishes.

6) Make bed.

7) Swish and swipe bathroom.

8) (3) 5 Minute Room Rescues.

Bumping 'cause I'm just feeling so darned productive today, and I had to share! I'll bet I'm not the only one....

Did the grocery shopping (and found some amazing deals)
4 loads of laundry washed (will dry at the laundromat later this evening)
Loaded dishwasher, ran it, emptied it
Signed up to receive several seed catalogs
Researched a few things that have been on my list, raw food-wise
Wrote up some math problems for son and found a few articles that interest him
Cleaned up the kitchen

Now what?

Thanks for bumping the thread. I'm near the end of my pregnancy and haven't been as attentive to keeping it going. Congrats on your productivity!

Today I would like to wash both comforters, plus one regular load of laundry, sweep and mop the floors, vacuum and wash the few dishes in the sink.

I would also like to make my bed, swish and swipe the bathroom, clean the counters and stove and do 5 minute room rescues. I'll be back to post each 15 minute session. I need a lot of motivation today and it's truly a day of baby steps!

This is a great idea! I always get burnt out and end up feeling like I get nothing accomplished. I think short periods of deep cleaning would really help me. Right now I am going to vacuum and clean the kitchen and bathroom counters.

Okay dishes are in the dishwasher and breakfast is made and served.

Now on to other cleaning! Anyone want to join me?
