Yay! I packed my closet away and am about to tackle my dresser. Then I will be done!!! It's so nice to be able to see/have access to the things that fit me NOW. And also not to feel depressed looking at all my "skinny" clothes, not knowing when/if I'll ever be able to wear them again.

thanks for this thread -- 15 minutes i can handle.
Of course it counts! There is no rule saying you have to finish what you start in 15 minutes. Sometimes it's motivating to know that we can actually work for 15 minutes and walk away from a task to return to it later. Just think: that's 15 minutes of work you don't have to do later.

Yes Samstress it so totally counts~!

I cleaned my bathroom
Did dishes
and cleaned up kitchen

Next I need to pick up clutter in dining room

I just looked at the calendar and realized I have exactly two weeks before Im suppose to leave for the states and I have NOTHING ready for the trip. My girls have both outgrown all their dresses so I need to sew more dresses as well. I started getting overwhelmed and then thought about this thread and realized its a LOT easier to think about things in small batches instead of big problems. So, here I go, two weeks to prepare three people (myself, my 2 1/2 year old and my 10 month old) to take an international trip. This should be fun..
Completed
In Progress
Today Im concentrating on cleaning and organizing my time. My list of 15 minute chores for the day:
-Make a to-do list

- Change over laundry
-Do dishes, put away
- wipe down sinks

-sweep/mop kitchen and living room
-wipe down kitchen table

- clean playroom
-sweep/mop playroom

-wipe down both restrooms
-sweep/mop restrooms

-clean up bedroom
-sweep/mop bedroom

-set up area for sewing
-separate out projects

-pull down luggage
-make packing list

-make list of items to get

-work on home school activities for my oldest (shes stuck on this school idea from when everyone was asking her if she was going to school so I have to make up activities to do each day because if we do the same thing twice she will tell me) for when we are gone. Plan 1-2 weeks today.
- only did one week but Im calling it good for now

-prep Family Home evening for tonight

Wow, OkiMom! It looks like you have a lot to do today! Sending postive working vibes your way...

I let my coupons pile up without realizing it. I think I clipped coupons for an hour and a half yesterday. I'm going to clip the rest of them now. Later I'll be back to organize them.

I think I'm in today... 15 minute work chunks, may not all be housework, but soo much to do. We added 5 kids to our family last week and are trying to get organized!

Already I:
Bought school supplies for elementary kids
Got 2 kids off to school, talked to their teachers
Took 2 middle school kids in for testing and talked to school counselor
Went through bread in fridge (we get TONS for free from my dad), tossed old stuff out
Started laundry
Cleaned off kitchen counter

Also to do today:
Get new drivers license
Call dr for appointments
Call psychiatrist for appt
Call optometrist for appt
Call dentist for appts
Wash pots and pans
Take Kindergartener to school
Clean off desk
Catch up daycare bank log
Pay monthly payroll taxes
Deal with inbox
Work on cleaning basement

One chunk down- cleaned off the counter and the sink, started the dishwasher. I think the next task will be washing pots and pans.

I want to join this thread too! I have flylady so the 15 minute stuff suits me fine. I have to admit that it often turns into a mess at my house, because we don't pick up after ourselves.

Today I managed:

* A load of laundry (and another one running right now)
* Cleaned bathroom (which alone took 15 minutes!)
* Did dishes

Doctor appointments are all made! Took me 20 minutes to schedule all of them lol. Now to go find myself a medicaid accepting optometrist!

Dentist appointments also made! Waiting on a friend to call me back with the number of a good optometrist.

Optometrist appointments are all made! Kindergartener is dropped off at school!

Yay for people that are joining the thread!! I swear these 15 minute chunks are making a huge difference...
I am sticking by 3-4 sessions a day because I am also on the 10 days thread for decluttering...

so today I am:

doing 4 sets of folding clothes lol
I have 2 loads ready to be folded and I hope to do at least 3 more loads before the days end...

If you dont hear from me its because the laundry swallowed me whole.

I am losing momentum quickyl! This morning went great, but i HATE dealing with paperwork and the desk so much. Plus it is making me crazy that my 14yo is sitting in the living room floor playing his video game and I trip over him every time I go through there to put something away, but hes not doing anything wrong... its just too damn small a space! Maybe I'll take a break with some OREOS... hmm... Doing that then will set a timer and get this desk cleared off in the next 15 minutes so I have room to work on paperwork.

My progress: I've finished clipping and have taken a break from organizing my coupons.

The bed is made.
The dishes are washed.

Now I'm going to take 15 minutes to fold/put away a load of laundry. Then I have to get supper started.
have to take a break from the 15 minute sessions today and the last two days, since my bulging disk is acting out of control right now!

will be back asap though!

Poetry, the beauty of a smaller apartment is even if it seems like there is a lot to do there really isn't. It only takes me about 30 minutes to do a quick pickup and sweep/mop the apartment. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my steam mop since it makes mopping so quick and since I don't have carpets only linoleum I do a LOT of mopping. I do a general cleanup of the apartment every other day so it never gets to dirty and it doens't take to long to clean up (if I didn't my apartment would be trashed since I lose momentum after cleaning for more than 30 minutes each day).

Yesterday I made my to do list and separated it by day so it didn't seem to overwhelming. Today I need to:

- Sew 2 dresses for DD1 (the pattern is really easy and already cut so it should only take a hour and I LOVE to sew so its more fun than work for me).
- Cut 2 dresses for DD2

- Clean out desk area
- Go through DVDs and find DD1s favorite to take on the plane (Bad mommy I know but a 23 hour flight alone with two kids I need something to distract one part of the time.)

Before any of that though my first 15 minute session is making breakfest and changing over laundry.
Ok, finished with breakfest. While I was warming up the griddle to make pancakes I not only changed over the laundry but I folded and put away the dry clothes. The only laundry left to do is what is in the washer and dryer, yea! Laundry is my nemesis, its my least favorite chore. Id rather clean bathrooms than do the laundry.

Now Im going to work on DD1's dresses. Im figuring an hour to complete both but both girls are already awake (they woke up at 5am today) so it might take a little longer.
Wowzas you all are on a roll!!

Today I decluttered my top dining room shelf
dealt with the clutter basket in my kitchen
vaccuumed my den

next I need to fold 3 loads of laundry and do dishes before I make dinner...blech

Oh and there is an obscene smell coming from my fridge so before the day is done I am cleaning it out and hopefully finding the culprit of the offending odor.
Apple- I find that when I get an awful smell in the fridge usually something has leaked and gotten under the bottom drawers. Its almost always the bottom that stinks. Either that or I haven't cleaned it out in a while and I have some rotten thing thats gotten pushed to the back.

I got half of one of the dresses done. My girls are both in moods so its slow going. Im going to go throw the wet stuff in the dryer and then work on attaching the top of the dress to the skirt.
Oki~ found the source of the smell ewww....
and I have dishes to do and the rest of the clothes that need to be folded PLUS I still have a bin of stuff to go through....

I am not stoppin though...
Apple next time try to get your DH to do it.. I always seem to have good luck in casually suggesting that the fridge needs cleaning and the kids needs baths. DH is happy to clean the fridge and leave the kids to me. I know, Im a meanie.

I got one dress done except for hemming but DD1 is wearing the top to the other dress and has decided to take a nap. Since she rarely ever naps Im letting her sleep and Ill finish it up when she wakes up. Next 15 minutes Im going to organize this desk and find DD1's favorite DVDs.
DD is up so Im going to take back the top so I can finish the dress. I did clean out the desk and pull down some DVDs that DD1 likes. I also cut the pattern for DD2's dresses, I need to cut out the fabric now.
