Driving down the interstate with my finger in her mouth didn't seem safe, so pacifier it is. I leave it in the carseat though, she doesn't need it any other time and doesn't really like it overall. Ok, driving that far every day makes me want to cry. I still haven't gone anywhere alone with the baby (well, partly becuase she's fussy and will spit her paci out, needs help to get it again). Hat's off to you, mama.

I am hoping to hold out a few more weeks before we need one in the car (limiting car rides right now). I tried one in the car with DD but she hated it and spit it out to continue her wailing protests.

Ah I know how that goes. There is much wailing and gnashing of gums when I try to drive somewhere.
