SO HAPPY! LITTLE BABIES! Oh man, they're playing "silent night" on the radio and now I'm crying.... and trying to imagine Jen with a little boy on her hands...

Happy Birthday Aeron

4 years old today.

We're on our way to Flagstaff to celebrate his birthday. Staying at a hotel with 500 acres of forest and a million Christmas lights strung all over the place. I hope he remembers this birthday.

I woke up today thinking about Christmas morning 4 years ago when I lay in the dark, wondering if I was in labor, listening to Christmas songs about the birth of a blessed boy.

I am so excited for you, Jenn! Pictures please!!

So our friends just had a spina bifida baby about a couple weeks ago. She has had two surgeries so far, coded yesterday and pulled through this morning through lots of people rooting for her. I feel so blessed with my two beautiful, perfectly healthy babies, I just can't imagine what these new parents are going through and feel so helpless as far as being a useful friend right now. Mostly just looking to send lots of good vibes, prayers, thoughts their way!

Thankful to have all of the resources and the beautiful friends I have found along the way in my parenting experience!

and to your friends and their baby...and you too. How nice they have such a concerned, helpful, friend in you. I think that means a lot more than people know. I too am so thankful for my kids' health, and when they have had health issues (thankfully not all that serious), having supportive friends around me meant(means) the world, even if they couldn't "do" anything, iykwim.

Hannah,

Is this the friends of yours we met at Alina's birthday party? It's amazing how much more "real" this feels having met the parents (I assume it's this couple.)

Please tell them I said congratulations on the birth of their daughter. I am sorry for their difficulties (having worked NICU for 4 years, I know from a nurse's perspective how challenging their time is now. As a mom I can't even fathom what they are going through.) However, I want them to know that the miracle of their child is not lost amongst the challenges.

Hannah, thinking of you and your friends. I can't imagine what they're going through, but I'm sure it's a comfort for them to know they have caring friends like you and Ian!

And happy belated bday to Aeron! I hope you all had a great trip up to Flagstaff.

And now I'll share a cute story. Carter has been talking more and more about the baby lately (I think being able to see my belly move is making it more real). So yesterday we were in front of the co-op on 4th avenue having a snack and some people walked by with a stroller. Carter noticed the baby inside and I said "Do you think our baby will ride in a stroller like that?" and he said "No! A sling!" haha, he has been indoctrinated into baby wearing at a young age.

Hi there! Hope you are welcoming new members! I haven't read too many pages back, so there's no way I can catch up (congrats on the new babies!), just thought I'd introduce myself and start here at page 12!

Lived in Tucson most of my life, have a house on the west side, WOH fulltime 4 days a week, have a 7 month old baby girl, 3 dogs, a lovely husband....

I see some of you meet at Carter Park...while I'd love to meet up, seems like you all usually meet when I'm at work. I do hike every Friday morning with a couple of other moms and babies, so if any of you are interested, I'd love to meet you there. We've been meeting at the Camino de Oeste trailhead (off of speedway), do a quick 40 minute hike to the Starr Pass resort, where we get a coffee and hang out and nurse our babies on the terraces outside, and then another slightly longer route back to the trailhead. It really is alot of fun!

Welcome desertgirl!!

I'm Sarah, I have a 2 year old son and am expecting a new baby in about a month. I am home with Carter M-Th and work on Friday while my husband stays home-- so you and I have opposite work schedules!

The hiking sounds fun... maybe after my baby is born I can join ya'll. For now my son likes to hike on his own, which means we make headway veerrrryyyy slloowwwlly, but it's fun. who knew there were SO MANY sticks to look at in 1/2 mile? Despite my slow little hiker, I'll let my husband know ya'll do that on Fridays, maybe he'll want to join if you don't mind a guy along.

The "playgroup" was meeting rather regularly at Connor Park during the week, but weather, new babies, new jobs, etc., have distracted many of us.
