pprom at 16 weeks--amniopatch anyone?

I'm on bedrest for pprom at 16 weeks, and according to every doc, things look dismal. The baby is doing fine right now, but we're not sure what the future will bring.
Has anyone heard anything about the amniopatch? I read about it on Kanalen.org. From what I understand the success rates are decent, especially compared to the dismal statistics I'm facing now.
Did bedrest really work for any of you? I'm really going crazy in couch potato mode!

I don't know anything about this situation but, I did find this on another site where someone else had this problem. This answer gave me some hope for you so...I wanted to share. I also want to wish you luck. I hope you have a better outcome than you are expecting.

I had prom at 17 weeks and carried my daughter to 31 weeks. We were really blessed and despite the odds she is perfect. Mine was due to a tear in the placenta and they think the blood clot tore the amniotic sac.

Hi, my case is very similar to yours, I have Prom after an amnio at 15 1/2 weeks , is now a week later and all the doctors are putting pressure on me to terminate but my baby girl is still alive and seems to be doing well, an ultrasound showed that in one week I increased from 1mililiter to 2 but we are still so deep in the woods ... As long as I don't develop an infection we can try to go on like this

on Monday I have an appointment with a doctor at NYU that does the amniopatch and will see if I have any hope there. I know exactly how you feel, hang in there I will keep you posted
