twinges

feeling twinges today, but not anything that I would call contractions. this is progress. I'm sitting and bouncing on my ball while playing on the computer. Hoping that things pick up, but not counting on it.

mw will be here for my appointment in about 1.5 hours - would be really nice to be in labor when she gets here.

I'll be back later to update.

I hope it is the start of something for you!

I've had some random uncomfortable contractions, an on and off back ache, and lots of cervical twinges throughout the day today, wondering if anything will continue tonight, or peeter out like it always has.

Here's hoping!!!

keeping my fingers crossed for both of us. Maybe we'll have equinox babies.

Hey, I didn't realize it was equinox today! Cool! And the OB I like is on call tonight, so that sounds perfectly good to me

I've been having evening twinges and night-time crampiness the past couple days. . .but I always feel pretty normal during the daytime (just lots of BHs). I think the first day of fall would be a great b-day, but I think that I'm just in revving-up mode, not going-into-labor-today mode.

Hope this is it for somebody though!!!

Why do things pick up at night I wonder? It's making it even harder than ever to sleep!!!

I don't know, but it was like this with both my other kids, too. Contractions always start in the afternoon/evening and last until 11pm-midnight or so. I might wake up to another stray contraction or two throughout the night, but then POOF! It's gone in the morning.

HOWEVER, that being said...it's exactly what happened on Mar 2nd, 2007...contractions started at dinner time, continued through the evening, got into a rhythm around 10:30pm. I was highly annoyed that I couldn't sleep, so I got in the bath then. I got out of the bath at midnight because the water was getting cold and I coudln't cover my belly. SUDDENLY my contractions were 2 minutes apart and HARD, and I was in active labor! My son was born at 2something am on Mar 3rd Only two-ish hours after I got out of the bathtub!

I keep hoping that will happen again!

I'm hoping for that too!!! Seems like way too much to hope for. . .part of me is very suspicious that I have had such an uneventful pregnancy and wonders if that means a 48 hour labor! Can you tell I am a natural pessimist?

My cramps/twinges seem to start very mildy in the evening, but nothing that bothers me much, then I fall asleep and about 1am I am woken by stronger sensations. . .then my brain gets going and I am awake till 4am But in the morning its gone. This has happened twice now. I think its partly mental, that the cramps seem more intense at night in my half-asleep state.

Although its blazing hot here today (really its about 99 degrees out!) I took a little walk (I am truly turning into a desperate for labor lady ) and felt loads of low pressure. . .we'll see. . .

so... bp is back to my normal - 108/62, pulse is 76, baby's hr is in 140s, baby is lower and has turned a little more anterior Still twinging away - mw said it looked like a really good ctx and I said that it doesn't hurt at all. She asked how often I'm getting them and I had to tell her that I'm not really feeling them start or end, just noticing them every now and again, but for a while this afternoon it just felt like one big long squeeze.

She gave me an herbal tincture with directions for taking it and EPO over the next several days if I want to get things going a little. Not sure if I want to or not. sigh... I'm torn between wanting to be done and letting baby decide.

If baby is still somewhat posterior (am I reading that right, that baby's posterior?) then I wouldn't rush things. Let your body turn the baby before labor kicks in.
