A completely stupid worry!

You know how it is, pregnant minds go all over the place! Since I'm finding myself more pregnant than I've ever been, AND feeling pretty darn good today (what's up with THAT?), my mind is wandering to the possibility of still being pregnant in October.

That sucks in so many ways, but one way I hadn't considered before now is BIRTHSTONE!!!!

See, both my other boys are March babies, so they have aquamarine as their birth stone. This baby, supposed to be born in September, should have sapphire. I found these mother's rings a while ago, and thought that it's be SO PERFECT to have two aquamarines with a sapphire in the middle http://www.mothersfamilyrings.com/categories/1_4.html

October's birth stone is an opal, which just wouldn't go with the aquamarines as nicely!!!!

Blue is my favorite color even, sapphire has always been my favorite stone! This baby NEEDS to be born in September!!!!

Right there with you ladies! I'd like him THIS WEEK, please!

Hehe, this is exactly why I ruled out mothers' jewelry with stones in them! With 4 kids in all different months, it would look rainbow gemstone fugly for me.

Considering October is NEXT WEEK, we better get a move on, ladies!! Yikers!

LOL. Similar idea: Everyone keeps asking me what my baby's "sign" will be. And I have absolutely no idea. Someone told me, but I forgot cause quite frankly that's really not my thing. Now that it's going long they're even more confused and trying to figure out "what's the one after Sept 20th-ish, then? What will that make her now??" and I'm still absolutely no help. You'd think I would have committed some element of the conversation to memory.

I jsut told my husband tonight that Libra starts Sept 24th (according to the webpage I looked it up on, I guess there's some variance there??) and he just shrugged. Neither of us are that big into astrology

BUT, my husband, myself, AND Ian were all born in the Chinese year of the Rooster, which I thought was pretty cool I looked up what this baby is, but I forget already! That of course won't change, there's NO WAY I'll still be pregnant in January

I'm pretty picky about my jewelry and don't wear too much, but I do like the idea of having a 'symbol' of my children on me. As far as rings go, I really only wear my wedding ring. I also find that necklaces don't work with little ones that like to tug on them. As a result, I'm infatuated with this site:

I love the idea of having a bracelet for each child but having them connected as one. To me, mixing the different birthstones doesn't seem as bad if they are on individual bracelets. I'm also crazy enough to hope that this little girl ends up coming in October. That way all my children will have their own birthstones. At this point, what is another couple of days, right?

BTW, according to my research (which consists mainly of wikipedia ) Libra started today, the 22nd (and its the first day of Fall too).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Libra_(astrology)

Of course then this site does say the 24th. . .hmmmm. . .

Ehh, I'm not a big believer in these things, although its always fun to be curious about it.

I'm also scared about the October thing!!! Funny though, I thought from the beginning that this might be an Oct baby and my DHs bday is in Oct, so I like the thought of an Oct baby. . or should I say I liked the thought of it BEFORE I was nine months pregnant!!! Now the thought of waiting that long (even if its just another 9 days till the 1st!) seems like torture!!!

As for the jewelry, a friend of mine recieved as a mother's day gift her children's first initials (so she has an "E" and a "T") on a chain as a necklace. Just the letters in gold, really beautiful. . .but I prefer the simple pieces like that to the stones anyway.
