What Do YOU Do to keep it together?

Thread Starter
I am looking for strategies to avoid yelling and my own melt-downs.

I really need to work on this. Our family really needs to work on this. I did take deep breath/pause and remained calm when DD THREW water on the floor during bath (not regular splashing). I did not when DS put bubbles in my coffee 1/2 lb of cold brew coffee. I am a high energy implusive person. What do you do? What thoughts or ideas do you have?

Thanks,
Zoe

I find that telling myself it could be SO MUCH WORSE usually works. I am still working on controlling my impulses, but have gotten much better in just the last week. I posted a question here not to long ago about staying calm in the heat of the moment. I also read a post about having bad days. Some of those women described days I cannot even imagine. Tears came to my eyes when I read what those women had been through. Suddenly, my "issues" didn't seem so unbearable anymore.
