Busy Book/Quiet Book instructions with photos!

I finished this quiet book for my daughter a couple of days ago. It was very easy to make. If anyone wants to make one, I've got lots more photos and full details HERE.

That's hilarious! I was JUST coming to P.M you about this! I totally scoped out your blog after falling in love with your waldorf-inspired doll and found the quiet book. Fell in love with it, and am starting one for ds RIGHT now...question though..How do the clothes stay onto the dress up doll? I'm going to make ds a dress boy doll, with rubber boots/pants/pjs/t-shirts ect but how do they stick onto the doll? TIA

LOVE IT. My aunt made something similar (the flowers look almost exactly like hers - but no clothespin page) for me when I was little - and we can't find it anywhere! I have been looking on Etsy for one of these, but I may be inspired to do my own.

Well it's all felt, and felt sort of sticks together a little, so you just lay the clothes over the doll. The book stays flat on a lap anyway, even if they didn't stick. The doll doesn't come off the page, she is sewn to it. Only the clothes are removable. There is a zipper in the side so you can store the clothes so they don't get lost.

I was thinking more of when ds decides to lift it and show off his dolls outfit

But after some shaking and messing around I think I might not need it in forced to stick...

Ds got a 40 foam sheets for easter That I've been trying to figure out how to use so maybe this project some will get used up! and will give things a different texture

I'm starting with the apple tree since I have green/red felt, and little sewing snap buttons(that again I've had forever!)

Also thinking of incorporating family pictures, maybe a house that you open the door and a picture of us is inside...I'm super excited! Thanks so much!

No problem! Just be sure not to use any velcro in the book. It completely ruins the felt wherever it touches it.

My book is coming along GREAT! I've got 2 pages started already.

My apple tree page has a swing popping out and the green part of the tree has filler behind it to stick out.

The second page is a felt and foam cut-out of our house with a wedding picture of dh and I behind the door and there's a cut out window that dd's pics in...the chimney is going to have smoke coming out of it...

I'm looking for a good pic of ds and it's going to be a peek a boo page of his face hidden behind felt mittens, and I'm going to make him a felt hat w a pom pom for on top of the picture
