Just call me puffy

I have suddenly swelled so much that my hands and feet HURT. I felt it coming on through the day, but this evening it's gotten ugly. There's no identifiable bones in my feet, just big ol cankles. My wedding ring is stucker than stuck.

I'm not too worried...we had some storms recently that changed the barometric pressure, and it's unseasonably hot and humid here right now. I've been rather thirsty the last 2-3 days, so I've been drinking a LOT more than I did before, so I'm sure I'm not dehydrated. No headaches, no major face swelling, so nothing to worry about.

But it sure is ugly!!!

Yep! I hear ya! Its been super hot here and the puffiness is out of control. The only thing saving me this week is our apartment complexes unheated pool which manages to stay absolutely cold despite the hot weather. A half hour of being in there and I feel a little more human, although I haven't been able to wear my wedding ring for a couple weeks now.

And the sausage toes. . .its just gross!

My face seems normal though. . .whew. My MW suggested I make sure I'm getting enough protien and salt and of course drinking tons of water.

eeks! Get horizontal asap, woman! While I've never had the swelling from pregnancy, when I had lyme disease the swelling was AWFUL. I had it in both my hands and feet and it's terribly painful (to me anyways?). elevating said appendages was the only thing that helped.

It's almost over, It's almost over, It's almost over - right? Hang in there!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I slept well again actually, but the swelling didn't go down overnight at all. I've only had my shoes on this morning for an hour and there's already an ugly line on my fat feet

I was planning on going to the store to buy a cheap necklace and fake replacement ring over lunch today, but I can't get my wedding rings off at all. I might try some cold water soon to get them off.

I'm at work, but not sure how long I'll stay. I might take my laptop home and pretend to work from home.

Not feeling the best today overall Nothing's "wrong", I'm just feeling kinda down.

This is totally me, too. I've never had swelling like this before, but then we have had a record number of days over 100 degrees here in Austin, so the heat isn't helping. (It was 65 this morning, though - wohooo!!!!) I haven't worn my rings in a long time, though I could have probably kept them on for a while longer. They would be totally stuck by now, though. I haven't worn real shoes (ie. not flip-flops) in months, but I'm sure I would be stuffing sausages.

I don't have face swelling or BP issues, so my MW said all is well. It's just annoying. The only positive is that it's way easier to shave over my cankles versus my normal bony ankles!!

What is this "shaving" you speak of?

I did manage to get my rings off, it required lots of lotion after a soak in some cold water. They're now on my pinky instead until I can put them on a chain around my neck.

I'm just feeling so crummy today!!!

Shaving is this thing I try to do once a month. You know it's bad when your husband offers to do it for you. Hehe.

I say go take off and work from home! I have been working half-time from home since Sept. 1 (going in for a meetings when needed) and it has definitely been WAY better than sitting in the office. If I didn't have this bit of work to do each day, I would probably go stir crazy!

You mamas still in an office for 8 hours a day deserve a medal or something!
