I know that you mamas are the best source of information on this topic, so I've come here first. I need current (within the last 2-3 years), reliable, citable references for my paper.

Please help.

kind of a broad request...can you be more specific? Are you looking for anti-vax info, pro vax info...

What people's opinions on here are on reliable credible sources differs alot as well.

Well, right now I've OK'd the topic "Vaccinations and Autism" (so, it'd be both sides, really--I delay vax my own 19 mo son), but I'm sure that mamas on here have other worries than just Autism. I don't want to limit myself to just that topic, since there are other health concerns (like certain additives possibly causing something else). I'd rather it be more of paper on the concerns of mothers regarding vaccinations, or something like that.

Hope that clears things up a bit :

And I guess I will have to decide if the source is reliable enough, at least for the purpose of this paper.

The testimony from the Omnibus Autism Trials is a wonderful resource. The studies are broken down so that they are pretty understandable by all.

Everything you could possible need from this is linked here, including transcripts and audio files:

Are there specific grading criteria for the paper that might help guide resources?

YES! This looks like a great one Thank you!!!

Any more, anyone? I need at least 5, and I'll use some nursing journals for a couple.

It's really not totally rigid. The main purpose is to get us comfortable writing APA papers (BSN program). I just need 5+ references. It's 7 pages long, but the actual writing is really only just 3 pages double spaced.

On the anti side: Paul Offit's book: Autism's False Prophets; each fact is well cited, so you can look at the study, news article, event, paper, etc that he is pulling it from.

Since this is for a BSN program I would say that a great deal of caution would be in order in considering how your audience is likely to perceive your references. This is the sort of stuff they will likely be used to finding:

Autism and Vaccination-The Current Evidence.

The rise in autism and the mercury myth.Scahill L; Bearss K; Journal of Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Nursing, 2009 Feb; 22 (1): 51-3 (journal article) ISSN: 1073-6077 PMID: 19200293 CINAHL AN: 2010188999
