DH's Company - Strongly "Encouraging" Flu Shot

DH (works for a large financial services company) just emailed me that they are "coercing people to get the flu shot there for free." When I asked him what he meant he said not really forcing - just strongly encouraging everyone and bombarding them with company emails about it. I guess at least it's the shot and not the mist - I would be really upset if they were misting everyone there (thousands of people) with a live virus!

DH NEVER gets the flu shot. None of us do - the one time we gave it to DD when she was about 2 she ended up with a 105 fever and flu symptoms for a few days. Every year the people on DH's trading desk bother him about not getting the flu - and then get upset with him about never giving in. Meanwhile, he hasn't had the flu (other than a one day bout with rotovirus, if that counts, almost three years ago) in ages...

NO thanks. He can even lie. I already got mine.

Oh he doesn't need to lie - he has no problem saying he doesn't get the flu shot and letting him pester him if they feel the need. I just felt like venting about the situation!

My dh's job does the same thing every year. They send out a ton of emails and everytime you pass someone they say "did you get your flu shot". They even go as far as to have someone come into the office to give it to them . My dh is the only one that doesn't get it (never has in his life actually) and for the last 3 years he's worked there, the only one to never get the flu! He gets pestered a lot from his co-workers but he just nicely says "no poison for me"

The city I work for does the same thing. It's annoying but inevitable.
