what does this mean:
The baby’s legs will remain in the fetal tucked/lotus position.

I am deseparately trying to get the Newborn Hug hold (with a Moby) down with my 5 week old baby who is fussy/refluxy.. and I can't say for sure I know what this means..
please help!!

his legs will be frogged/tucked up under his bottom usually with heels touching.

This is a good pic. Shows the baby with her heels together touching her bottom.

My little one stretched out when he was born and rarely, if ever, went back to the fetal position, so I was unable to do the wrap/sling positions that required it. Just sharing in case you are having the same issue!

Older babies will be wrapped with their legs sticking out. Newborns often want to stay scrunched up with their legs tucked inside the wrap. As pp indicated, you can have his legs out if that seems like what he prefers.

Congratulations!

esp. with a refluxer you may find he prefers having legs out so as not to place too much pressure on his tummy. with the moby you can do that without spreading them too far. just make sure he's in there securely by spreading the fabric of the crossed pieces from the back of his knee to the back of his neck.
