Diaper Service Prefolds and Nighttime?

Hi there.

We live in an apartment with no laundry in the unit, so we use a diaper service. Prefolds and covers. What is the best thing to do for night time? I had been using disposables, but now i've decided that if I'm doing this for the enviroment, I can't wuss out at night.

So..help? I do have the bio liners but darn if i can get them in the diaper with mr wiggle worm.

My son is 4 months old, if that matters, and this is my first baby using cloth diapers.

When we used the service, I'd double diaper - use two prefolds together (one folded into the other and use any cover. It works! I did this for both kids - it lasted 12 hrs with no leaks.

Just use two of them, and make sure you have a good cover.

I would try doubling up the prefolds and see how that works for you. Otherwise you may need to try a doubler.

Thank you! I know it sounds silly, but I wanted to make sure there wasn't some trick I was missing. I really want to succeed with cd-ing, and am willing to ask silly questions once in a while.

I cannot wait to have a place with a washer and dryer. So many more options. I guess technically I could wash them in the laundry room on site, but I feel like I shouldn't do that, even though my baby is exclusively breastfed and his poop isnt so bad.

I've washed CD at public laundry on many occasions its really not a big deal.

we double diaper prefolds for night under a wool cover. I hand wash wool in my bathroom sink. Works great. Right now our favorite wool is the disana wool soaker from GMD.

I've too have just started nighttime cd with prefolds and covers. I double up with a gmd yellow in a gmd brown in a M thirsties cover and it holds all night. My dd is 4 1/2mo. I was really nervous about being out of disposables and trying to cd at night, but happily it is working very well!!!

we also use a service, and doubling prefolds at night DIDN'T work for us. so i bought some fitteds and inserts. i have 7, so there's enough that i only need to wash once a week. DS is 6.5 mos and doesn't poo during the night, so i just throw the dipes in with our cloth wipes and his covers. i usually soak/rinse them first since our apartment washers aren't the greatest, but this method has worked out really well so far.
