Ready, Set...NO

Serious false start yesterday, major disappointment today. The night before last I woke up at 3 am with a ctx that felt like bad menstrual cramps in my lower back and front. For the next hour I managed to sleep in between them as they were 10 minutes apart lasting maybe 30 seconds. At 4:30 am I just couldn't sleep in between them anymore. My mind was racing with thoughts about any last minute stuff that needed doing. At 5 am I had an epic bowel movement and copious amounts of blood streaked mucous (I haven't made much mucous due to the fluid thing so to me this was a sure thing). I had two more bowel movements before 10 am and ctx were closer to 5-6 minutes apart by then...very manageable, but still coming regularly. My mw suggested trying to get a nap in considering that I hadn't slept much during the night. So I went upstairs and laid down thinking "how could I possibly sleep?" But as soon as my head hit the pillow I fell hard to sleep and woke up 2 hours later with these piddly little ctx back to every 10 minutes, then 15 minutes, then they basically dissapeared. I thought for sure things would start back up in the night again, but i slept fairly soundly except for 2 or 3 ctx that woke me...and today the mucous is gone and so are my ctx. But my bottom lip seems to have grown, as I am a pouty mess. Where's my labor? Where's my baby? WAAAAH!

sorry this is happening, but at least SOMETHING is happening! I am saying this to make you feel better. I am 41 weeks tomorrow and NOTHING! I had my twins at 34 weeks 5 days so I had in the back of my mind I would be before 40 weeks, so I'm a little stumped

I have confidence and faith you will be holding a baby VERY soon!

Yes! At least you have something getting started. Hopefully next time it won't peter out!

I *thought* I woke up this morning with a little something, timed the "somethings" for about 1.5 hours this AM 5-7 mins apart average. Took a nap during DS's nap time and nothing happening since. Maybe we just need to stop sleeping, LOL.

I'm "due" today...

Yeah, it really stinks now b/c rumor spead like wildfire that I was in labor and now everyone and their brother keeps calling looking for news of a baby and I've had to tell over and over again this story of how I *thought* it was it. It seems like everyone is dissapointed. Myself being on the top of the list. But you're right...at least something is happening. I just wish that that *something* had some follow through. I guess it will soon enough, as we can't stay pregnant forever, right? And I don't even know why I am complaining b/c I am still 5 days away from my due date. Patience is a virtue. How true it is.

Well, you're spreading your "good fortune" because I had a somewhat similar experience last night! Contractions started as low cramps, very low and very deep, and after an hour or so of trying to ignore them I timed a few, they were 10 mins apart. So I got up for a while and they got to only 4 minutes apart. Never strong, but definitely uncomfortable. I can't say for sure how long they lasted because it was hard to determine the beginning and end, only the peak.

I decided I should try to lay down to sleep, and woke up two hours later with stupid little ones that felt like nothing

And now all day today there's been almost nothing

My plug is still intact, too
