1 yo doesn't like other kids touching her toys

My LO, 12.5 mo, has started getting upset whenever the neighbour's 22-month-old comes over and picks up one of her toys, even if it isn't one shes playing with. She yells indignantly and tries to grab the toy from him. If she's quick enough to get it from him - as sometimes happens as she has a surprisingly strong grip -she'll then immediately offer it to me or DH. Not sure what's going on there. (Neighbour kid on the other hand is fairly cool-headed - if DD tries to grab something from him he usually just says "no!" in a sorrowful voice and then looks over at us mournfully! V cute).

I'm only beginning to learn about UP and GD so am very ignorant about it, and would appreciate a few pointers about this if possible!

He's more cool headed largely just because he's almost a year older. She isn't old enough to know any better. All you can do at this age is distract. "Look at this ball! Doesn't this look like fun?" And wait for her to get a little older. Also, handing toys to people and, sometimes, having them hand the toys back is a fun game for babies of that age.
