bpa free toy ball?

Hello,
My 6 month old discovered another baby's toy ball today and loved it! Was beating on it like a drum. She was having a blast...it was your typical sponge bob - walmart, plastic ball. I have been searching online to see if there is a better option...something that isn't full of scary chemicals, but I'm not finding anything. Does anyone have any advice?
Thanks!

What if you made some kind of cover for the ball - maybe using a layer of batting and then some kind of material?

You could sew the two halves by machine and then put them on the ball by hand.

I know it doesn't take away the fact that the ball is chemical laden, but at least there is a barrier between the ball and your LO's hands/mouth. Not sure if it would bounce as well, but it would probably roll just as well.
