There is another recent thread on diet and mood here, but I thought I would ask if any of you had tried Feingold, and if it helped at all with your mood.
I have anxiety, and depression, and OCD which are all worse around my period. I wondered if any of you had found that by eliminating food additives that you were doing any better.
I stumbled upon Feingold tonight after doing some research online in regards to my son, who BLASTS off minutes after eating chicken nuggets... at first we thought it was from fast food, because that is really the only time he eats them and we only do that as a special treat every 6 months or so.
But tonight, we had store bought chicken nuggets and the reaction is the same. The only thing I have ever seen even close to this reaction is when he eats blue food coloring. Within 5-10 minutes, he is a different kid.
Anyone ever thought of this in terms of your own diet and your mood? Just curious...
